Changes You Might Expect
Take extra caution following treatment and not to put any stress on the head or neck. Rest a few minutes in either the waiting room or relaxation room before leaving the center. This time will allow the body to acquaint itself to the changes that have just occurred.
The following short-term effects may be experienced following a course of KKT treatment. They are normal. Make yourself familiar with them in advance of treatment:

- Alleviation of pain and symptoms
- Sleepy and/or relaxed feeling
- Light-headedness or possible headache
- Cold-like symptoms including a runny nose
- Muscle stiffness in other parts of the body

- Pain in the area of an old injury
- Tingling or warm sensations
- Body elimination changes (diarrhea or constipation)
- Minor skin bruising or slight soreness in the treated area
For the remainder of the day following treatment, relax and not engage in any physical activities. You may feel sleepy. This is simply a result of the re-establishment of the neurological functioning and the body’s need to re-habituate. Resting will aid the healing process.
From time-to-time, you may experience pain in different regions of the body due to the shifting and movement of joints from the treatment. Avoid taking unnecessary medication to counter symptoms.
Under all circumstances, be sure not to test the limits of movement in the spine and, in particular, when moving the head and neck. Ideally, one should refrain from driving; however, if this is not possible, they should use the mirrors to guide them, as opposed to turning their head and neck.
Our bodies are continuously requiring healing and regeneration. KKT allows you to make that leap.
Today, KKT applies the most innovative advances in medicine, artificial intelligence and diagnostics to track the most challenging of all pain and spinal conditions. Health science, biomedical research, and medical technology combine to diagnose and treat injury and disease.

1. Keep your Appointments
Follow your KKT visit schedule to achieve the best results. Our scheduling recommendations are based on your personalized clinical evaluation. Clinical findings suggest that spines which have been treated and maintained through KKT in fact allow patients to stay healthy, flexible, strong and tall.
2. Proper Rest
During the first 6 weeks of being restored through KKT active healing, or 36 hours after maintenance KKT sessions, your body needs rest and mental relaxation.
In order to allow systems in the body to normalize, ensure you have ample rest. A good night’s sleep gives your body time to heal.
- Do not sleep with any lights on and keep your room as dark as possible.
- Keep plugged in electrical objects or power supplies a safe distance from your bed (1.5 meters away).
- Build into your schedule a short power nap after lunch. This could be as short as 5 minutes, but no longer then 45 minutes, otherwise it may disrupt your sleep cycle.
3. Tell Others
Interestingly, patients who tell others about their experience seem to get well faster. Discussing with others can reinforce your commitment and remind you
of the simple truths of the KKT approach to better health.

4. Moderate Exercise
Extreme exercise in the first 6 weeks of KKT active healing or 36 hours after your KKT maintenance session, should be avoided.
- Balance, symmetry and smooth, these should be the order of the day when it comes to incorporating any exercise into our lives. Impact, jolts and asymmetric activities should be avoided.
- Incorporate a regular program of walking into your routine. You will be provided a specific series of exercises (KKE) once your body is physically stable.
- Refrain from starting any new activities or exercise programs during the initial phase of KKT.
- If you have an existing exercise regime, reduce the intensity by 20% to prevent any possible disturbances to healing. In time, you will be able to return to your standard activity levels and even surpass the measure of exercise you were previously able to do.
5. Better Diet
Improving your dietary choices ensures that your body has the necessary raw materials to heal nerves, muscles and other soft tissues. While good nutrition is always important, it is doubly important now during the active KKT healing process.
- Reduce the intake of all sweeteners in your food and desserts.
- Avoid carbonated drinks and juices. Drink fresh squeezed juice instead.
- Increase vegetable intake by 50%. Reduce wheat, rice and potatoes by 50%.
- Include your KKN supplements with your daily meals.

Did you know … Research clearly demonstrates that a positive mental outlook has beneficial effects on the healing process.
After your first KKT treatment, please DO NOT over exert yourself. Plan on having a restful day.
DO:
Drink lots of water
- Be particularly careful not to stress your head and neck
- Keep your movements smooth and fluid
- Limit extreme or sudden movements of your body
- Avoid twisting and heavy lifting
For optimal recovery, follow these recommendations for 24 hours following each session.
A calm and relaxing mood has shown to aid in recovery.
Be very careful of bad habits you may have acquired over the years. Some things you did unconsciously with no ill effect before, can now cause further damage to your already injured spine.
DON’TS:

- Do not sleep on your stomach, always on your back or side.
- Do not read in bed, neither propped up on your elbows nor flat on your back.
- Do not sleep on more than one pillow.
- Do not sleep without a pillow.
- Do not fall asleep in a sitting position. This causes your head to bob and whiplashes your neck.

- Do not slump in a chair when reading or watching television.
- Do not reach for something overhead. Keep your arms at shoulder level.
- Do not lie on a couch with your head on the armrest.
- Do not hold a telephone receiver to your ear with your shoulder.
- Do not bend backwards to get your hair rinsed at the hairdresser’s. Always bend forward.
